Terms and Conditions of Sale or Service
Buyer accepts all terms and conditions upon ordering of product and/or services. Baker Technology Services, LLC - herein after referred to as "BTS" reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without prior notice.
1. Warranty
Various warranties apply to products sold by BTS, see the documentation provided with your product and read the appropriate section below for more details. BTS may, at its option, utilize used or refurbished parts to fulfill warranty claims.
a. New PC Warranty
New PC warranty is standard one year from date of sale, covering parts and labor. Extended warranties of one or two years covering both parts and labor are available.
*Shipping charges, if applicable, must be paid by the customer both ways.
b. Used or Refurbished PC Warranty
Standard warranty for used of refurbished PCs is 30 days from date of sale, covering parts and labor. Some may be marked differently, such as "AS IS NO WARRANTY", and this will take precedence over the standard 30 day used PC warranty. No warranty is implied for fitness for a particular purpose.
Extended warranties may be available for used equipment, and are only valid when purchased at the time of initial sale. Extended warranty will be listed on invoice as separate line item.
Customer understands that parts are not stocked for used PCs, and repair time may be longer than with a new PC.
c. Repair Service Warranty
Warranty on repair services is 30 days for parts and labor.
After 30 days: Manufacturer warranty applies to new parts, and BTS will assist with RMA process. Used parts are covered by the initial 30 day repair service warranty: BTS may replace the part or refund customer for parts if no equivalent replacement part is available.
d. Other Items
BTS cannot provide a warranty for all used items, due to various conditions such as specialty items or difficulty in finding parts for repair.
For any item marked "WORKS - AS IS NO WARRANTY", BTS has tested the item and found it to be in working condition, but does not offer a warranty on the item.
For any item marked "PARTS OR REPAIR - AS IS NO WARRANTY", BTS has tested the item and found it to be in non-working condition. Item is being sold for parts/salvage value and may not be repairable, problems may exist besides those mentioned in the item description.
2. Returns
Standard return policy is listed below, if an item was shipped to you, and was received damaged or in non-working condition, see the appropriate section under Shipping.
a. Returns
Returns must be received within 21 days of purchase date to be eligible for a refund, 15% restocking fee applies. Some items may be non-refundable.
b. Accessories, Packaging and Condition
For an item to be accepted for return, it must have all original accessories and packaging. Item condition must be good and have no significant wear and tear.
c. Restocking Fee
Once an item is returned, it must be tested and may no longer be sold as new. BTS charges a 15% restocking fee for all items returned in working condition.
d. Software
Boxed software may be returned for a refund if the packaging has not been opened. Standard restocking fee applies.
e. Personalized Items
Items that have been personalized in any way are not eligible to be returned for a refund.
3. Shipping
Buyer must inspect any shipped items for damage and verify working condition within first 24 hours of receipt. If item received damaged or in non-working condition, see the appropriate section below.
a. Item in Stock
BTS generally ships items on the next business day, when the item is in stock. These items are listed as "IN STOCK" along with shipping timeframe on the website shop or eBay store.
b. New PC Builds, Bundles, Other Items Requiring Assembly
For new PC builds, bundles, or other items not listed as "IN STOCK - QUICK SHIP", parts must be ordered, assembled and tested. This process generally takes 7 to 10 days, and the customer will be notified of progress.
c. Item Backordered
Customer will be given an estimate of shipping date.
d. Insurance
Shipments for new PCs, used PCs, and parts are insured at full value.
e. Product Received Undamaged but Not Working
BTS tests all products thoroughly and uses appropriate packaging when shipping. If product is verified as defective, BTS will pay return shipping costs.
f. Product Received Damaged
If product is received damaged, do not attempt to use. Do not disturb shipping carton or product. Product is insured. BTS will handle the paperwork to file a claim with shipping company.
